Maximum Capacity: 15 students per class

 In this course, students will learn introductory woodworking and basic construction skills through safety instruction, classroom study, hands-on use of tools and equipment, and building projects. Small, simple, inexpensive projects will be used as a springboard for advanced building projects in Advanced Woodworking and Construction Technology. A review of all aspects of the construction industry, such as career opportunities, house plans, technology, work ethics, etc. will be explored.

Recommendation: You should have good math skills and a willingness to work hard with your hands.

 

If a student wishes to take home their finished woodworking projects, the materials fee is $40.00 per year for Carpentry I.
