Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors

Prerequisites: Carpentry/Woodworking, Communication Arts I, Algebra I, and Geometry

Maximum Capacity: 15 students per class

In this course, students will learn more advanced aspects of the woodworking and building industry through hands-on building and construction experience. Although the primary focus of this class is actual construction of projects, all aspects of the woodworking and construction industry will be explored. Some career opportunities include construction, construction management, general carpentry, cabinet-making, interior design, architecture, and manufacturing. Emphasis is placed on safety in all phases of the coursework.

Students will have the opportunity to earn Career Connections Level I and Level II industry recognized credential certifications in the Carpentry field. They can also earn their OSHA 10-Hour safety card.
