Overview
This program area offers exploration in basic construction and carpentry skills. Students can pursue more advanced techniques with higher level woodworking classes. If a student wishes to take home their finished woodworking projects, the materials fee is $40.00. Students can participate in SkillsUSA, a career and technical student organization, focused on preparing students for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. Free dual credit opportunities are available through State Fair Community College. Students completing the Woodworking course will have the opportunity to earn the Career Connections Level I, Career Connections Level II, and OSHA 10 Certificates.
