 This video game design course provides an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of video game design and development. Students will explore conceptual and technical aspects of contemporary video game creation. Students will expand their understanding of the role technology plays in modern society and the future of high-quality jobs with these transferable skills. The curriculum aligns with the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). Students will learn about gaming, computerized gaming, and the evolution of gaming along with the artistic aspects of perspective, design, and animation. The technical aspects discussed are collision theory, sprite creation, level design, physics engines, layers, and programming.
