About the Instructor

Missy Stock, R.N.

Mrs. Stock earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Central Methodist University in 1998. She is currently working on her Master's in Education. Mrs. Stock is also an American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Instructor. Mrs. Stock started her career in the health field by earning her Certified Nurse Assistant Certification as a junior in high school at the BTEC in 1991. She worked as a CNA throughout college at Cooper County Memorial Hospital and Katy Manor Nursing Home. After graduating from nursing school, Mrs. Stock began her nursing career on the Neurological Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery floor at Boone Hospital in Columbia. There she took care of pre- and post-operative surgery patients on a daily basis. She then expanded her nursing experience at the Cooper County Public Health Department as the Public Health Nurse working with the pediatric, post-natal, mental health, and adult population. After working there for many years, Mrs. Stock decided to change things up and work at the Dialysis Clinic Inc. as needed after having her first child. Mrs. Stock has always loved the teaching aspect of nursing. When the Health Science position at BTEC opened, she jumped at the opportunity. That was 11 years ago and Mrs. Stock still love teaching others her passion for health care! Mrs. Stock will be married 20 years this October to her high school sweetheart. They have two sons, two cats, and one dog.
