The automotive program is designed to provide students with training in both basic consumer car maintenance and entry-level technical skill as outlined by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Students completing the Auto Technology class will have the opportunity to earn Automotive Specialist Excellence Certifications (ASE.) They also have the opportunities to earn Ford Automotive Career Exploration (ACE) Certifications. Students can participate in SkillsUSA, a career and technical student organization, focused on preparing students for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations.

Courses may be used as articulated credit for a maximum of 15 FREE college credit hours with State Fair Community College and 3 credit hours with State Technical College of Missouri (formerly Linn State Technical College) when completed with a recommendation from the instructor and counselor and the appropriate grade.
